Sustainability Contributing to the health of society

PHC Indonesia as part of PHC Group is committed to the long-term sustainability of our business. Our mission is to contribute to the health of society through our diligent efforts to create healthcare solutions that have a positive impact and improve the lives of people, and we recognize that this positive impact can be achieved through dedicating ourselves to high standards in ESG issues.

PHC Indonesia is making efforts and initiatives to contribute in long-term sustainability. We align our effort with PHC Group 11 key ESG issues for contributing to the sustainable development of society.

At PT PHC Indonesia, we have all-female volunteer group "Kartini Team" that was establised in 2020. This team started with 13 employees and evolve to 17 employees in 2024.

The name of the "Kartini Team" was derived from Kartini, who was a national leader of Indonesia that worked hard to improve women’s rights and education. She was known for her ideas and activism on women’s education and empowerment. With the spirit of Kartini in mind, we hope that our activities would inspire and encourage all the employees of PHC Indonesia to support PHC Indonesia's sustainability.

Initially, the goal of "Kartini Team" was to support the company's sustainability targets through seminars and campaigns, and to keep employee motivation high--but we felt that it wasn't enough. Given our long-standing experience in supporting an orphanage in Bekasi, Indonesia, we realized that in order to be more dedicated, we needed to motivate our employees more effectively. With PHC Group's overall sustainability policy now outlined, we were able to focus more on activities closely related to ESG efforts. Our team aims to highlight the importance of protecting the planet, raise the consciousness among employees and the local community, and make PHCI the top manufacturing site in PHC Group in sustainability promotion. We've just started with simple activities, but we're confident that we're making steady progress.
